 Webinar-Teach English to Young Learners using visual aids

Hello everyone!

I would like to share my thoughts about this webinar with you. Firstly I feel really happy to had this opportunity to participate this webinar presented by Ms. Dominika Krawczyńska on Friday. I must say her positive energy impressed me. I think children are lucky that they have a great teacher like her. Generally, the webinar was about teaching English to Young Learners using visual aids(realia, flashcards, pictures and so on).I found them interesting and beneficial as a teacher. I realized miming and gestures are important especially when you teach little kids. 

During this webinar the teacher introduced some games which are effective in learning process. For example; Say Stop! Disappearing words, Guess What?

Additionally, the teacher shared online resources to use during online teaching:

She explained how to make the lesson efficient by using puppets in lessons.


She showed some examples to us how to use it. It was really enjoyable :D Especially using it in online lesson would be a great idea!

  Attitudes towards students and practicum. Attitude toward students Personally, I'm a shy person. Despite having a few years of experience in teaching, I always suffered from this characteristic weakness and I always tried to hide it. From what I have observed and my own experience, I can say that there should be basic rules in the classroom and both teachers and students should follow this rule. Otherwise, there will be no mutual education and respect. Before I started my experience at school, I had a fear inside me. I wonder if the kids will love me, will I be able to do it? As long as I was in the experience, I tried to approach children with love. Fortunately, the children also liked me and they were eager to participate actively in my lessons. I was able to see each student's weaknesses, strengths, interest and so on. And I tried to design my lessons accordingly, taking these features of them into consideration. Me as a teacher   Teaching is a life-long journey that never ends and is constantly renewed. It is a job that requires hard work and patience as you move on. I would say, if a teacher loves his/her job very much and does it with love, it is not difficult for him/her. Working with students and being in constant communication with them is a development for both teachers and students. A good teacher can not teach and inspire students without being a learner. One of the questions frequently given to teachers is “Don't you get bored” or “Is it not difficult?”.
